Mercedes Benz C 300 Cabriolet is a convertible based on 2-door coupe version. It is subtly different than C-class 4-door sedan but front has same LED headlights but rather than twin slats the cabriolet gets a single chrome strip, which holds large tri-star logo. Air intake size has increased, which gives a clue about the convertibles sporty character.

The convertibles profile resembles C-Class coupe when its fabric roof is stretched over. There are only glass windows and no B-pillars. In the rear, sleek tail-lights, overflow towards the boot-lid, which is also inspired from Coupe.

Mercedes C Class 300 retains rear design like S-class with boot sliced at 45°, which gives it a vibrant lean-forward carriage. Boot is higher than C-class sedan, so as to accommodate the fabric roof when it folds down.

Interiors

Luxurious interior design includes finest materials, top class finish, and exclusive colour combination makes C 300 special. Cabin is similar to regular C-class with usual quantity of sportiness, which is expected in convertibles. Glossary wood trims are swapped with matte black accents. Brush metal still continues to emphasize the circular AC vents and the control buttons.

Low bucket type seats seem comfortable. Sun reflecting leather upholstery allows to keep cabin cool, even with open roof. Doors, dashboards, and side panels have smooth and seamless design flow. Central control also has nice waterfall design, which flows between driver and passenger seat. There are 2 doors and front seat has to be moved to get in the rear seats. The rear seat has good room for 2 adults.

Technology

The C 300 has long list of technical features including HD, rotary dial and touchpad. In addition, latest infotainment & navigation system, Burmester audio system, lane depart & auto braking technology, heads-up display, few driving modes, and terrific air suspension.

AIRCAP is a new addition, which gets incorporated with windscreen frame. It is a special windbreak system, which deflects air turbulence away, during open-top driving. The system works noiselessly. Another AIRSCARF is neck-level heating feature that is great. When rain falls, you can get the roof top stretched in 20 seconds.

The convertible has 1991 cc 4-cylinder petrol engine, which is good for 245PS peak power along with 370Nm torque. In addition, the new 9-speed auto transmission that offers silky transitions and fast shifts. In 6.4 seconds you attain 100kmph.

C 300 convertible is a rear wheel drive, so can be pushed comfortable on twisty roads. AIRMATIC air suspension accompanies adaptive damping system, which makes driving on any kind of road condition comfortable.
